Hair Care Tips

Before Install (Uncustomized, Bundles, Lace, etc.)

Once hair has been received, run cold water over hair until completely drenched. Take preferred conditioner saturate hair from weft to end. Let sit for 10-15 mins then rinse with cold water. For best results let hair air dry on a hanger, or outside in a closed in area, or laid out on a table for added volume and body.

After Install

We recommend co-washing the hair every 1-2 weeks to keep the hair soft. We only recommend shampooing the hair when needed if the hair is weighed down from products you may have used.

Coloring

If you decide to color the hair yourself, please keep hair hydrated with Coconut, or Argan oil, and make sure to keep hair conditioned!!! If you rough up your bleached hair, especially when it’s wet, you’re putting tension on it and causing more breakage.

Hair Maintenance

  • Use a quality name brand shampoo and conditioner with low PH balance.
  • Wash and condition hair in a downward motion. Do not massage or rub the hair against itself.
  • Squeeze out excess water and air dry hair. Remember heat can be damaging and will shorten the life span of your extensions
  • Use a leave in conditioner to keep hair hydrated.
  • Gently comb hair with a wide tooth comb. Begin combing small sections at the ends, working up towards the scalp.
  • It is recommended to let the hair air dry naturally but you may use a blow dryer set on cool or low heat temperature.
  • If you must use heat, be sure you use a small amount leave in conditioner paired with heat protectant first. Not too much, as it can weigh down and/or tangle the hair.
  • Prior to going to bed, we recommend you wrap, braid,, pin curl or roller set your hair. In proper care of bundles will result to shedding and tangling.
  • NEVER sleep on wet hair. Make sure your hair is completely dry before going to bed.
  • Sleep on a satin/silk pillow case or with a satin/silk cap or scarf.
  • DO NOT comb dry curls or waves, you will disrupt the curl pattern
  • Do not use oily or greasy products, this will weigh your hair down.

Curl Care

1. Condition well.
Curly textured hair is naturally drier than other hair textures, so it requires extra moisture. We recommend using a moisturizing or hydrating conditioner after shampooing. And for even more moisture, you can treat yourself to a deep conditioning treatment at least once every two weeks.

2. No heat tools.
Heat will frizz and dry out curly hair. So, it’s best to avoid heat styling as much as possible. Instead, while the hair is still wet, gently scrunch up the curls from the bottom with your hand, and lay it on a dry towel to air dry completely.

3. Finger comb only.
Avoid brushing or combing your curly hair when it’s dry. Brushing or combing while the hair is dry may cause hair breakage, and tug on knots/tangles. Before washing is the only time you should brush the hair. Gently detangle before washing using a soft paddle brush or wide tooth comb on your curly hair.

4. Avoid heavy styling products.
Products like oil, gel and mousse will weigh down a curly weave, and cause tangling and matting issues!

5. Use natural oil and light essence spray.
Natural oil or a light essence spray will help de-frizz and tame your mane. But be sure to only use a very small amount of oil (about a dime size) because too much will weigh the hair down!
